THE FACE BEHIND THE CAMERA

I caught the pony bug pretty sure as soon as I could walk and never outgrew it. My earliest memories revolve around horses and I grew up with them being a very big part of my life. I am happiest in the barn. Those quiet moments bring me peace. I have been blessed with some pretty special heart horses in my life, whether I owned them or had the honor of loving them. I love to ride but nowadays I take more of a role as barn and horse show mom with my daughter. It fills my heart with joy to share that love with her while I watch her become immersed in the equestrian life. In college, I spent a lot of time volunteering and interning at therapeutic riding centers and an equine assisted therapy center. Horses heal and save people. They truly are magical. There’s nothing like the bond you have with your equine partner. These are the moments I hope to capture for you. I understand first hand how those images become priceless and your story should be told. I am completely obsessed with detail shots, chasing light, black and white images, and capturing the bond between horse and rider. When I don’t have a camera in my hand, I’m also a kindergarten teacher, wife, and mama to my strong willed, big hearted little girl. Besides being a horse girl, I love a good Hallmark movie (Who doesn’t want to watch a happy ending?), Targeting (I really should be supervised), the mountains and beach, and laughing with family. I put my heart and soul into everything I do. Authenticity is important to me. What you see, is what you get. Life is too short to be anything else. Thank you for following along while I chase my passion. I’d love to hear from you!
